The W-Hotel South Beach is a 20 story structure elegantly set on the sands of South Beach in Miami Beach. The hotel in oriented to maximize ocean and city views with a single and double loaded floor plate and angled balconies, framed in a dramatic concrete “Mondrian like ‘shading structure consisting of a variety of different sized square patterns.

“The W Hotel had the unique opportunity to reveal its long side and the design took full advantage with the Mondrian-like composition.”

Uninterrupted views of the Beach

From the gardens of the Bass Museum as one looks towards the ocean the W Hotel frames the views and contributes to the spatial composition that has become a hub of activity during Art Basel.

The image of cubes floating in the sky becomes apparent when the reflection of the glass overpowers the form of the building.

“Soaring ceilings give way to expansive ocean views from private balconies, while custom-designed furniture, sleek kitchenettes and spa-ready bathrooms are your portal to luxury”.
