Art in Motion: Joule House and the Energy of Wynwood

Mon Oct 06 2025

Community, culture, and creativity converge at Joule House, where architecture meets the expressive spirit of Wynwood. Designed by Nichols Architects for Fisher Brothers, with public spaces by Rockwell Design Group and interiors by IDDI, this eight-story mixed-use residential building embraces the neighborhood’s dynamic character through thoughtful design and integration with the local arts scene.

At its heart is Calle Collective — Wynwood’s newest open-air art gallery and cultural destination — curated in partnership with WXLLSPACE and featuring 19 large-scale murals by Miami-based artists. Set within Joule House’s breezy paseo, the collection transforms everyday walls into a vibrant public canvas, celebrating individuality and community alike.

Architecturally, Joule House brings an electric atmosphere to the neighborhood, with paseos that enhance the pedestrian experience and seamlessly integrate public access through the site. At their intersection, an open-air void allows natural light and airflow to filter through the building. Above, a multi-story courtyard and rooftop pool deck connect residents to both the energy of the streetscape and the calm of elevated green spaces — a design that balances movement, openness, and retreat.

Now open to the public, Calle Collective invites visitors to experience the color, energy, and cultural dialogue that define Wynwood — and to see how thoughtful design can amplify the stories of a community in motion.
