The multi-million-dollar venture is presently in its infancy. However, once it reaches completion, it’ll offer more than 290,000 square feet of new construction.

The hotel will measure 165 feet (about 15 stories), about 150 feet above base flood elevation (BFE). It’ll also comprise 248 units and a parking garage. The hotel needed to offer at least 298 parking spaces to meet coding laws. The premises will offer 545 spaces, 230 spaces for public use.

Amenities include a swimming pool. Perhaps the biggest amenity is off the hotel’s property; the venture is located just a short walk away from Clearwater Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. The project has not started construction, but when it does, it’ll require demolishing an already-existing structure.

Google Earth suggests that the building is Magnuson Hotel Clearwater Beach, a two-star hotel that no longer hosts an online domain. Triprop Clearwater, LLC owns the venture. Nichols Architects (Nichols Brosch Wurst Wolfe & Associates Inc.) is the architect.
