Opal Sol Resort Welcomes Three New Restaurants
Resorts contribute to its destination well beyond the guest room. At Opal Sol, three new street-level dining concepts are bringing another layer of activity to Clearwater Beach’s Beach Walk promenade.
Designed by Nichols Architects, Opal Sol Resort has welcomed Lolita’s Coastal Cocina, Float Malt Shop & Creamery, and Beach Market. All three concepts are located at street level and open to the public, extending the resort experience to visitors and the Clearwater Beach community. Together, they add Mexican-inspired dining, a classic malt shop, and a casual grab-and-go market directly along Beach Walk.
The openings also expand a larger hospitality destination designed across two Nichols projects. Opal Sol and neighboring Opal Sands Resort are connected by a pedestrian skyway and together now offer 10 dining options. Opal Sol includes 248 guestrooms, with its curved architecture responding to the Gulf shoreline and continuing the architectural relationship established by Opal Sands.
For Nichols Architects, the evolution of the property after opening is part of the story. Hospitality architecture is not only about creating a place to stay, but about how a project engages its surroundings and becomes part of the life of its destination.
